Confused
So I need to comment on some of the other work and sites from people in Kendall. I have a Tumblr account but I have no idea how to comment on the other students that have an account for the class. How am I able to comment on students that have an account for Tumblr? I'm really wondering!

Wilted Rose
This is one of the pieces I did. I really like it but I'm not sure if I should keep it as it is right now, or if I should make the wilted flower not look so fuzzy and make it smooth. (If you know what I'm saying) This was done with soft pastels and I added a little bit of Prisma Colored Pencil to it as well.
If anyone wants to comment, that would be greatly appreciated! (: Thanks!

Kendall: Color Theory
Tiger Color!
http://www.tigercolor.com/color-lab/color-theory/color-theory-intro.htm
The website is an introduction to color theory. This is a helpful website because it talks about how all different colors, when put together, or when apart, create mood. The Color Wheel, the difference between warm and cool colors, it's all here! This sight it useful because it helps you get to know your color wheel. It also has a few basic techniques for creating color schemes. If you are not sure about a color and what the effect of it is, just check this site out!
Smashing Magazine!
http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2010/01/28/color-theory-for-designers-part-1-the-meaning-of-color/
This site talks about how people will portray the work by what colors are used. I find it helpful because not everyone will see the same thing in one piece of work. Even though this is a website for designers, it is helpful because it also talks about how colors are used and the meaning behind the color families. It's very easy to read and understand. It also talks about what kind of emotions different colors are associated with. Check it out!
Simple, Practical Color Theory!
http://www.tutorial9.net/articles/design/simple-practical-color-theory/
This site talks about the different color models. For one I have to admit, I didn't know there were more than one color models. (Maybe I wasn't paying attention?) Anyways, this site is as well helpful. The color models, what the color models are divided into, and what that color model is used for whether its, photography/film/design, print design, or art/painting/design. This site talks about it all! It's very simple, easy to understand and read. Check it out!

Artist: Dean Russo
I like all the colors and the different shapes and line patterns inside the art work. He makes shirts, also someone got a tattoo of one of the dogs if you look through the Facebook pictures. His work inspires me because it reminds me of a doodle. There is so much to look at! As he does here, I also like writing little poems or sayings. I just have to find a drawing to match my sayings.

Artist: Suzanne Cody
Her drawings are done in colored pencil. She likes to capture nature, flowers in general. (Such as myself) She knows the dry-brush watercolor technique, which is one of her own styles.

Artist 2
This is for Portfolio Class. We have to select 3 artists' works from lists and links on the web page and blog, as well as collect 4 images for each.
Artist: Christine Anderson
In the 2nd grade she received her first art scholarship! Because of it, she started to make art. The only reason she does it is to give people something to enjoy. She is a member of the Color Pencil Society of America. She draws, paints canvases, and even paints rooms. I like what she can do!

Just The Beginning
I'm a person that is fascinated by the beauty of nature. I love walks in the woods, exploring, and smelling the flowers. The world in my eyes is a gorgous place.
For my concentration I want to capture nature by using texture. I have a few ideas and along the way, this summer you will be informed of what I am doing.
Right now I have a picture of a Birch Tree. In the background the sun is shining through many other trees. The focus of this picture will be the Birch Tree. I will use watercolors for the back ground. I haven't got that far for this first peice, soon I will post pictures of my progress. I'm excited!
